2/3/23 – CLEWISTON, Fla. – Daison Pursley won in every portion of the opening night during Florida Micro Speedweek, at Hendry County Motorsports Park, with the PureMax Racing Oil HART Non-Wing Micro Series presented by EMi.After starting fourth in his heat race, Pursley picked up the heat win with a late race pass of, Palmetto, Florida’s, Brad Sutton. Pursley, from Locust Grove, Okla., then proceeded to draw the #1 redraw pill to put him on the pole of the feature event.

Pursley dominated the feature from the pole, but there was a lot of action behind him, including the hard charging Joe Askew, of Cape Coral, Fla., who ultimately finished second. Askew had several restart attempts to do something with Pursley but to no avail, finally settling for second.

Nate Lauderbaugh, from Kokomo, Ind., finished in the third spot, while youngster, James Roselli, from Brodheadsville, Penn., was fourth. Todd Kirkman, Kokomo, Ind., rounded out the top five.

Rhea Lynn Moss, Deland, Fla., finished sixth after being the Chemstream Race Fuels High Passing Points driver in heat races. She finished with a very impressive 123 passing points.

Robbie Smith, 7th, Mike Luckert, 9th, and Bryce Comer 10th, were all from Florida, while Cruz Dickerson, who is the only driver from the state of Iowa, finished 8th to round out the top 10.

Lauderbaugh was the Vision 1 Composites Hard Charger, moving up nine spots during the feature event.

The TW Racecars Hart Luck Award goes to Paige Moss, who got tangled up in a mishap on the front stretch during the feature event.
